Jen + Shawn {St. Louis Wedding} Part 2

It was hard to narrow Jen and Shawn's wedding into one blog post...so here is the second blog post.

Shawn and Jen had a beautiful, outdoor ceremony at Bee Tree Park. The day was warm and a bit humid, but the rain and cicadas stayed away (for the most part). There was an incident where a brave bridesmaid plucked a cicada from the bride's dress.

On to the reception!

Instead of a unity candle, Shawn and Jen chose to have a unity sand. Sand from Florida representing Shawn, and sand from Missouri representing Jen.

This next photo cracks me up. Jen, did you get to taste any of the cake or did it bypass your tastes buds and go directly to your stomach?

At the reception, there were all kinds of great outdoor games. The one that drew quite a crowd was a rather lengthy game of Giant Jenga.

After the guests had left, we took advantage of the last remaining sun light and grabbed a few more shots of the bride and groom.

Shawn and Jen, your wedding was absolutely beautiful! I wish you many years of happiness together!

  2. Congratulations Jen and Shawn. I just love outdoor ceremonies. I actually had dreamed of to get married at such nice outdoor place but no worry my dad had booked beautiful San Francisco venues for my big day. Everything went out just amazing and I had a great time there.
